TATA's Education Hub works with primary school teachers and their current curriculum in order to provide bespoke workshops, suitable for the students in your chosen year group, providing a safe environment for the students to learn through Drama. Our workshops are planned alongside the teacher and take into consideration the overview and threshold concept. We take key drama skills and adapt them to suit your curriculum needs. Students will learn about a literature of focus through drama-based exploration skills including storytelling and character building as they connect their drama to the key enquires of their learning. Each workshop is designed with a theme relevant to the text to help build the students confidence, oracy skills as well as developing teamwork and resilience. For example: when delivering a workshop on The Gruffalo the key theme would be being brave.
Students will explore a key event by reimagining the lives of those present at the time of the event. They will gather key information to inform their key enquiries, build their own ‘snapshot’ of the event using drama techniques as well as evaluating the effect of the event on present day. TATA offers both educational and celebration workshops ranging from Armistice Day and the Olympics to Roald Dahl Day, World Kindness and Anti-bullying Week (to name a few!). These workshops are adapted specifically to suit the needs and demands of the curriculum at your school. The students will achieve the learning objects through key drama skills as well as considering the students prior learning, the timeline of events leading up to the moment of study as well as the key individuals and their impact.

Professional Development
At the end of your booked workshop you will be able add an additional package of CPD in the area of study.
These can form part of PD days and can be booked as single workshops, half or full days. The workshops will provide teachers with a range of exercises and approaches on how to insert drama into their lessons, across the curriculum.
Developing Your Curriculum
We offer peripatetic services to both primary and secondary schools delivering 1:1 LAMDA sessions, guiding students towards examinations.
We can offer practitioner sessions to your school to accommodate an already established Arts Award or we can work alongside your school to help build a Arts Award community.
