EDUCATION HUB

WHAT IS TATA'S EDUCATION HUB?

TATA's Education Hub works with primary schools to deliver bespoke drama workshops that support and enhance your curriculum. Sessions are planned with teachers around year group needs, curriculum objectives, and key concepts. Using drama techniques such as role play and improvisation, pupils explore learning in a safe, engaging environment. Delivered by qualified teachers or specialist practitioners, each workshop is tailored to inspire creativity, confidence, and understanding.

Literature & Oracy

Students explore a chosen text through drama-based learning, using storytelling, character work, and creative exploration to engage with key learning outcomes. Alongside this, students build confidence, oracy skills, teamwork, and resilience through collaborative activities. For example, a workshop based on The Gruffalo might explore the theme of bravery, encouraging pupils to consider courage through character and story while developing expressive and communication skills.

Key Historical Events

TATA workshops explore key historical and cultural events by reimagining the lives of those involved. Pupils gather information to support their enquiries, create dramatic “snapshots” of the event using drama techniques, and reflect on its impact today. We offer a range of educational and celebration workshops, including Armistice Day, the Olympics, Roald Dahl Day, World Kindness Day, and Anti-Bullying Week. We are also happy to tailor workshops to suit your specific needs.

Subject Specific

These workshops are tailored to meet the specific needs of your school’s curriculum. Pupils achieve key learning objectives through drama-based activities, building on prior learning and exploring the timeline of events leading up to the focus of study. Through practical, engaging drama techniques, students deepen their understanding, develop critical thinking, and bring learning to life in a memorable and accessible way. Each session is carefully adapted to ensure meaningful curriculum links.

TATA delivers high-quality workshops designed to support curriculum recovery post-pandemic, with a strong focus on developing pupils’ oracy and communication skills. Alongside curriculum learning, our sessions help build essential life skills including confidence, teamwork, and resilience, empowering students to progress across the wider curriculum and beyond.
