EDUCATION HUB

WHAT IS TATA'S EDUCATION HUB?

TATA's Education Hub works with primary school teachers and their current curriculum in order to provide bespoke workshops, suitable for the students in your chosen year group, providing a safe environment for the students to learn through Drama. Our workshops are planned alongside the teacher and take into consideration the overview and threshold concept. We take key drama skills and adapt them to suit your curriculum needs. All of our practitioners who deliver the workshop have Qualified Teach

Early Years Literature

Students will learn about a literature of focus through drama-based exploration skills including storytelling and character building as they connect their drama to the key enquires of their learning. Each workshop is designed with a theme relevant to the text to help build the students confidence, oracy skills as well as developing teamwork and resilience. For example: when delivering a workshop on The Gruffalo the key theme would be being brave.

Key Historical Events

Students will explore a key event by reimagining the lives of those present at the time of the event. They will gather key information to inform their key enquiries, build their own ‘snapshot’ of the event using drama techniques as well as evaluating the effect of the event on present day. TATA offers both educational and celebration workshops ranging from Armistice Day and the Olympics to Roald Dahl Day, World Kindness and Anti-bullying Week (to name a few!). However, we are happy to discuss

Subject Specific: History

These workshops are adapted specifically to suit the needs and demands of the curriculum at your school. The students will achieve the learning objects through key drama skills as well as considering the students prior learning, the timeline of events leading up to the moment of study as well as the key individuals and their impact.

TATA prides itself on delivering high quality workshops that assist in a recovering the curriculum post-pandemic, developing students oracy and communication skills as well as building key life skills such as confidence, teamwork and resilience to help them progress across the whole curriculum.
